buf.gen.yaml v1beta1 configuration

This page documents an older version of this Buf config file — for new projects, you should use v2 files. If you were an early adopter of managed mode in v1beta1, we especially recommend upgrading to v2 configuration files — the current version is much easier to use. See the v2 buf.gen.yaml reference and the migration guide for details about the current configuration and migration instructions.

The buf.gen.yaml file is largely unchanged between v1beta1 and v1, so refer to the v1 buf.gen.yaml documentation if you haven't upgraded yet.
